Artists’ prints are everywhere – from the walls of hotels like the 21C Museum Hotel Chicago to museums large and small, and even on sites like Etsy. But many don’t know what an artist’s print actually is (and are too afraid to ask)!
Join Chicago-based print publishers Jessica Cochran and Angee Lennard of Process/Process to learn more about the art of print through a casual, in-person presentation of some of their most recent collaborations with artists.
Enjoy a glass of wine and learn about artworks by Selva Aparicio, Selina Trepp, and Magalie Geúrin. Guests will leave with new knowledge about print processes, the advantages and accessibility of buying prints, and even have a hands-on opportunity to make a 21c penguin print themselves.
Interested in joining us for an exclusive champagne toast and meet-and-greet with the founders of Process/Process before the event? Become a member of EarlyWork's arts and culture membership for access!
This program is presented in partnership with EarlyWork, a membership network of energetic and vibrant community seekers with a common passion for sharing new arts and cultural experiences in the city. Click here to learn more.
Process/Process invites artists to make new artworks that adapt the material, aesthetic, and critical possibilities of printmaking. By moving the ideas and processes that drive an artist's practice into the realm of the printed edition, Process/Process enables artists to develop exploratory new works. All projects are close collaborations between the artist, Angee Lennard, printer, and Jessica Cochran, partner.
